As we indicated on our main page the total Chinook count for the Skeena is significantly down from previous years, that’s the bad news.

The good news is that the river is much cleaner than normal, and people have been catching more throughout the entire river system starting with the Skeena all the way through the Bulkley River.

I have no idea why but everyone seems to agree, catching salmon on bright sunny days only produces good tans. Well that is true for most people who do not have a boat, those who do have access to better fishing holes, and do manage to do ok.
