As there are no current numbers of sockeye posted to the public we will have to rely on last year as a reference.

The sockeye should be entering the fish counters already, on this date last year 1,737 sockeye passed through the counter with an accumulated total of 8,910 sockeye have pasted through the counting fence. If you look at our main page, we have the Tyee sockeye count as well as previous year counts for last week posted. This should approximately indicate how strong the run on Babine River will be at this time.

The Tyee count shows a much higher count this year so the accumulated totals on the fish counting fence should be much higher.
